[What’s the first thing you do after a long day of filming?]
"I shower and brush off all the fake blood, dirt, and sticks that’ve gathered from set. If anyone could see my shower drain, they’d be like, "God, what have you been doing all night?" Trust me, it’s scary. I also live in the same building in Atlanta as my costars Danielle and Claire, so I’ll often walk down the corridor in my pajamas and we’ll bake cookies together"
We noticed your “Joy” tattoo. What’s the story?
Joy was the last name of someone very dear to me who passed away. It’s a reminder to never take any day for granted.
Tell us about your off-set beauty routine.
We wear such heavy makeup on set, so I keep it simple when I’m not working. I also take a bath four or fives times a week. I’ll turn off my phone, shut the door, and lie there for 30 minutes. It’s my dream night.
This is very important. This whole dialogue is very important. Because it shows how messed up our society is and how the standards of it intoxicate our thoughts. Here you have Izzy is ashamed of her body and how she didn’t look perfect as Chloe. And then you have Rae who thinks Izzy is perfect. You always think you’re never good enough, you are never pretty enough, you are never skinny enough, you are never enough. But if you could just for a moment to see yourself from the people who loved you eyes, you would understand you are perfect just the way you are and you are worth.
